01 / 05New English School, Landewadi

Pre-primary to MBA on one campus at Landewadi, near Manchar. Started in 1987 so that children in rural Ambegaon could get the schooling city children take for granted.

Shree Bhairavnath Shikshan Prasarak Mandal has run schools at Landewadi since 1987. Its schools and colleges share about 25 acres on the Manchar–Bhimashankar road, below the Sahyadri hills , and take children from pre-primary to postgraduate study.

A Marathi high school, a CBSE school, a junior college, and colleges for teachers and managers, all run by the one Mandal.

The Mandal was founded by Hon. Shri Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil, former Member of Parliament for Shirur. As a boy he walked 12 km to Manchar every day to finish his schooling.

Even a rural child has the right to quality education.

Knowledge is a wealth that empowers like none other. Our focus remains on the holistic development of every child, to make him or her ready for the future.

Why the Mandal exists

A school
close to home

It began with a long walk

The founder walked 12 km to Manchar every day for his own schooling. In 1987 he opened a Marathi high school at Landewadi so the children who came after him would not have to.

Rural and tribal students first

In 2015-16 the Mandal and Ekatmik Aadivasi Vikas Prakalp took on 100 tribal students together. New English School was built so rural children get the facilities city schools have.
